You may remember hearing about the Dodge Hornet back in 2006. Dodge had revealed their concept car that looked like a mix between a Chevy PT Cruiser, Kia Soul and a Mini Cooper. The hornet was a tall-roofed rally inspired hatchback that focused on maximizing the interior space and showing an aggressive attitude in appearance. Just recently, applications for trademarks were filled with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the “Dodge Hornet” and “Hornet”, as well as in Canada and Mexico.

Dodge Current Lineup

Dodge currently has a small lineup of models that consists of only the Challenger, Charger, Durango and Journey. We suspect that many Dodge fans are ready for something new to come to their lineup. A crossover would be a great addition. If Dodge moves forward with the production of the hornet as a crossover, and markets it as such, it would be able to compare to popular crossover cars such as the Kia Soul, Hyundai Venue, and Nissan Kicks.
