2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Overview

Hyundai has revealed the redesigned 2024 Santa Fe. This model has grown in size, added a third-row seat, and introduced an entirely new design.

Engine

The 2024 Santa Fe comes with two powertrain choices. The first is a hybrid setup with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. This was carried over from the previous Santa Fe, producing 178 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The second is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine coupled with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, expected to generate around 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque.

Top Speeds

Top speeds for the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid model are 60 mph in 9.5 seconds. While the turbocharged variant is projected to achieve 0-60 mph in about 8.0 seconds, aligning with industry expectations.

MPG

Hyundai says that the 2024 Santa Fe Hybrid will get up to 36 MPG in the city and up to 34 MPG on the highway. This is almost the same MPG as on the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. A very respectable amount that will cause less trips to the gas station.

Interior

The Santa Fe features an expanded interior and exterior, with its boxy design offering more space for passengers and cargo. Hyundai claims class-leading cargo capacity, citing 25.6 cu-ft of cargo space behind the new third-row seat, compared to the 2023 model’s 36.4 cu-ft behind the second row. The interior includes modern, eco-friendly elements and a panoramic curved display reminiscent of Land Rover’s styling. Hyundai provides front relaxation seats with a leg rest, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a user-friendly center console. The interior comes in five colors, though U.S. market options may vary.

The new Hyundai Santa Fe includes a suite of advanced safety features such as forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, navigation-based adaptive cruise control, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system. It also offers Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) and Highway Driving Assist (HDA) with lane-centering and lane-change assist.

Infotainment Center
