The 2024 Jeep Wrangler returns with a refreshed design that balances ruggedness with modern appeal. There are 13 different trim options available on the 2024 Jeep Wrangler that all offer unique features made to best suit its driver. Off-roading capabilities in the new model enhance previous capabilities, allowing you to take on any path your heart desires. The newly refreshed interior offers a comfortable and modernized approach to previous Wranglers, allowing you to balance adventure with class.
Engine
Across its lineup, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler offers five dynamic powertrains like previous Jeeps have never seen before. The base model features a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine producing 285 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or upgraded 8-speed automatic transmission. For those with fuel efficiency as their top priority, the 2.0L Turbo I4 engine delivers 270 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque with an 8-speed automatic. At the top end, the 3.6L HEMI V8 churns out an impressive 470 HP and 470 lb-ft of torque, complemented by electric motors for enhanced low-end power. Notably, the plug-in hybrid variant of the 2.0L I4 achieves 375 HP and 470 lb-ft of torque while maintaining remarkable fuel economy. The new powertrains offered in the 2024 Jeep Wrangler allow for drivers to best fit an engine suited to their Jeep.
Top Speeds
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler allows for the most efficient off-roading yet with the top speeds this vehicle can reach due to its high torque. Most Jeeps favor higher torque over speed to allow for them to maximize off road handling, and we felt it best to make this a priority in this new model, with options to best fit each driver. The base 3.6L engine can achieve a 0-60 time just above 6 seconds with a top speed around 100 mph. The more powerful 6.4L V8 can reach a faster top speed of 125mph. Surprisingly, that same engine in the Rubicon 392 trim model will also get you a 0-60 time of only 4.2 seconds, which puts it on par with a Mustang GT.
MPG
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is a well equipped and rugged off road SUV. However, it does not need to sacrifice fuel economy for off-roading adventures. The base 3.6-liter V6 still gets 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, with a 1 mpg drop when moving to the all wheel drive option. This is already a very respectable fuel economy for this class of SUV, but the new PHEV powertrain embedded in the vehicle improves on this even more. The Hybrid engine can deliver 23 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. The electric motor can also run independently for up to 26 miles!
Interior
Bringing together Jeep’s classic charm with modern amenities, the 2024 Wrangler features a spacious and well-adjusted interior to ensure durability and class. Its design includes ample visibility with removable tops and doors, catering to both daily commutes and rugged adventures.
