Stillwater, Oklahoma is home to the prestigious Oklahoma State University. For decades, Oklahoma State University has been one of the Southwest region’s largest and most respected universities. Along the way, it has formed a united family of students and alumni. The OSU family is about to become a lot bigger.
According to a report from Tulsa World, OSU welcomed its second largest freshman class in the college’s history this year. The class of 2019 consists of 4,200 freshmen. Among these students, a record 30% are minorities, a proud achievement for the university which increases the campus’ diversity.
Also receiving a class of 4,200 freshmen this year will be the University of Oklahoma. Their incoming class will be the largest in their history.
Along with a new class of freshmen, OSU will also receive a new safety application this year. The program, called Orange Shield, will allow students to instantly reach out to police with their smart phones.
