Once the battery is depleted, the Pacifica will get a combined city/highway rating of around 30mpg during those long road trips or drives that are bound to come. The new and improved use of power and gas in the engine feels phenomenally efficient and allows you to go almost 520 miles between every gas station stop. Numbers like that make this hybrid minivan one of the greenest electric vehicles available in the market today. Guess that explains why this beloved model has been getting so many rave reviews!
Tax Credits & Fuel Saving All-Year Round
The EPA released statements estimating that the 2021 Pacifica could save you an average $2,250 annually in fuel costs! While the hybrid costs $4,800 more when buying the base Touring form, Pacifica owners still qualify for the $7,500 federal EV tax credit. As noted before, even without the tax credit, the Pacifica knocks many other hybrid minivans out of the ballpark.
Lacking Power Under The Hood
The Pacifica is one of the most efficient vans we’ve ever tested and sold to our OKC buyers. However, you can definitely see where Chrysler had to make their sacrifices to deliver such a product.
The two motors under the hood are powered by a single 16-kwh lithium-ion battery that is stored under the middle of the van. Which explains why there are no Stow-N-Go seats in the middle row (kind of a bummer). Because of the total 260 horsepower compared to the 287 provided with the non-hybrid model, the Pacifica may feel a little sluggish at passing speeds. It also does not offer paddle shifters in the standard package. This makes it impossible to override the automatic shift programming, if you go with the base model.
Improved Safety & Technology
This is where the vehicle definitely shines in the work they put into it. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2021 Pacifica Hybrid an overall safety rating of five out of five stars! It received five stars in the side crash test and four in the frontal crash and rollover tests.
It comes with all the standard safety technologies that many modern vehicles equip along with the option to integrate advanced technology features like a surround-view parking camera system, automatic lane detection, parallel and perpendicular park assist, Chrysler “KeySense” (set speed and audio volume limits for secondary drivers), and a front parking sensor setup. While the second row does not have Stow-N’-Go seating, they can be completely removed using Chrysler’s easy-to-use pull straps. The van offers plenty of walking width and height between the seats and doors.
Versatile Cargo Space
We don’t just recommend this year’s model for our review because of the new technology and safety features though. The 2021 hybrid Pacifica is an absolute beast in the storage department and contains a surprising amount of hidden compartments, cubbies, an in-floor bins for anybody to use so you can optimize for exactly how much space you need depending on the trip and who’s coming along. The Pacifica is capable of providing up to 140.5 cubic feet of space with both rows folded down.

And the low-range gearing and 11.8inches of clearance will be the best friend to any of our rock climbing buddies. Rock climbing from INSIDE YOUR TRUCK, that is.
You don’t have to be a stunt driving expert either when transitioning between different geographical surfaces. The drive modes are laid out for you. All you have to do is choose from Auto, Sport, Tow, Custom, Mud/Sand, Rock or Baja, and the truck is designed to make the proper powertrain, suspension and steering parameter alterations for you to suit the conditions.
As for the speed and powering through heavy loads, the hood and grill were designed for the engine to be able to take in all the air it could possibly need, down to gaps inside the RAM letters themselves. The supercharged Hemi lives in a beefed-up steel ladder frame, 74% newer than other Ram 1500 models. The Raptor’s 450-horsepower EcoBoost turbocharged V6 is nothing to be sneezed at, but the TRX (T-rex) has it beat by 252 HP. Let’s face it, we’ve seen Jurassic Park. 2020 RAM 1500 Ecodiesel 3.0L Engine

Ram’s 2020 Ecodiesel is an all new remake and we like what we’re seeing so far! This is the Ecodiesel’s third generation and we want to share why this light-duty diesel truck surpasses the main Ford and Chevy equivalents in all the essentials. The 2020 Ecodiesel is ahead of the curve in both torque yield and maximum towing capacity, which is 12,560 pounds.
Quick facts about the Ram 2020 Ecodiesel
- Ram’s new 1500 EcoDiesel is overall less expensive than its Ford and Chevy rivals and is available in every configuration.
- Ram outperforms Ford and Chevy by including its 3.0-liter diesel in every cab, bed, and drive configuration.
- The Ram Tradesman Quad Cab is the most inexpensive diesel half-ton pickup truck, starting at $38,585.
- Ram’s EcoDiesel is a $4,995 choice over the base 3.6-liter V-6 with Ram’s eTorque motor/generator.
Maybe the best thing about the 2020 EcoDiesel is all of the packages and optional additions available. The 260-hp, 480-lb-ft 3.0-liter V-6, which is all new for 2020, is a $4,995 option over the original eTorque-rigged 3.6-liter V-6 base engine in the 1500. Depending on trim, the diesel engine costs between $3,000 and $3,300 more than Ram’s range-topping 5.7-liter V-8 with the eTorque motor-generator.
Ram is the FIRST of the Big Three to provide a light-duty diesel engine in every configuration of its 1500-series. This means you don’t have to sacrifice your favorite 1500-series pickup configuration for a diesel engine. Oh and let’s not forget that Ram’s 2020 EcoDiesel provides customers with the best value for the price.
By making the 3.0L diesel engine available with every cab, bed, and drive configuration, the workaday $38,585 Tradesman Quad Cab 2WD, Ram’s light-duty diesel truck, falls well beneath the price of Chevy’s least expensive diesel-equipped Silverado 1500. The Tradesman Quad Cab 2WD is significantly less expensive than Ford’s cheapest half-ton diesel.
