The new 2019 Hyundai Tucson Night Edition is worth taking the risk to come see. When the 2017 Tucson Night Edition made its appearance at SEMA in 2016, heads were turned, and the night moves began!

Where things get really fun is in the engine. The 2017 edition had a 1.6-liter 4 cylinder that came to life with the turbo attached to it. Automotive News held a jury of about 60 American and Canadian journalists who selected this year’s winners from a group of three finalists in each body category. The Ram 1500 beat the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the GMC Sierra 1500! 2013 was the last time the Ram 1500 took home this coveted title so it’s big news here at Barry Sanders Supercenter!

On the front end of the Ram, you will notice the sleek and defined headlamps that are used to house full LED lights bright enough to get you through the darkest of days and tunnels.
Ram 1500 Hood
The revamped hood on the new Ram 1500 truck works with an all-new active grille shutter that will open and close depending on factors such as speed, engine coolant factors, and air conditioning requirements. If you’re thinking, “the truck is cool, but I don’t want to pay for gas,” does the new 2019 Ram 1500 have a surprise for you! This is where the new active air dam comes in. Getting that 5.7-liter Hemi up to speed is fun and efficient. To help with gas efficiency, the innovative new air dam comes out once speeds get high enough. The new Ram 1500 comes with blind side monitoring which will let you know when anything is in those hard to see spots. LaneSense alerts when you are drifting into another lane.
The back and sides are good, what about the front? In 2019, the new Ram 1500 has all sides covered. Forward collision warning equipped with active breaking is a life saver. It was so much fun to see everyone participate by tagging the people they love and encouraging them to enter our giveaway! 
Our team was tempted to hop on the scooter that sat in the showroom everyday and take it on a joy ride, but instead we got to brag about it on Facebook and invite customers inside from the cold to see it for themselves. It was especially a hit at our Trunk or Treat Halloween event! On December 5th, we randomly selected Garrick P. as our A Pretty Awesome Scooter Giveaway winner! Garrick took a break from his Oklahoma State University finals on December 11th to personally pick up the OSU-friendly orange Wolf Islander scooter from Barry Sanders Supercenter! We know it was a well needed break for Garrick.

Save Money on Gas
How to Save Money at the Gas Pump this Holiday Season
With the holiday season right around the corner, most people start considering ways to save money for trips and gifts, and students in Stillwater have to get extra creative when considering how else to save money. We are here to help. Trimming away the excess can start with your new or used car. Here are some tips.
1. Slow down and smell the savings
The speed at which you travel is directly linked to the speed at which gas leaves your tank. Studies show that once you hit 60 miles per hour and above, your gas mileage decreases substantially faster than at lower speeds. Consider going a bit slower to save on gas.
2. Fill up in the middle of the week
Turns out, gas is usually lower on Wednesdays than on any other day of the week. Who knew?
3. Give yourself a choice
Most of us are guilty of driving our cars, trucks or SUVs until they are on empty, and then we have to get to a gas station quickly. That’s not the smartest way to save on gas. Fill up when it’s most convenient for your wallet, not just your schedule, whenever possible. Finding that spot in Stillwater that has the best gas prices will really add up overtime.
4. Are you at the right PSI?
Check your tires regularly. The Department of Energy says that when your tires lower by just one PSI your gas mileage decreases by .4 percent. Save your gas money by just monitoring your tires. Easy enough, right?
2019 Ram 1500 vs 2019 Chevy Silverado
Barry Sanders Supercenter suspects that trucks are the most important vehicles in Oklahoma so we know truck comparisons are some of the most valuable reviews to read. If you want to learn about the engines, features, and interiors of the rival trucks, 2019 Ram 1500 and 2019 Chevy Silverado, stick with us!
Both the 2019 Ram 1500 and 2019 Chevy Silverado are completely redesigned full bodied trucks that are actually lighter than ever. The 2019 Ram 1500 lost 225 pounds by using aluminum parts for the hood and tailgate. The 2019 Chevy Silverado lost 450 pounds through aluminum doors, hood, and tailgate.
By losing over 200 pounds, the lightweight 2019 Ram 1500 has better fuel economy, enhanced safety thanks to the strength and durability of aluminum, and greater agile performance including being able to accelerate faster than previous heavy cars. The Chevy Silverado at a loss of over 400 pounds will also be fuel efficient, durable, and agile.
Each new truck has a V8 engine, Ram with a 5.7 Hemi V8 equaling 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while the new Chevy’s 6.2 liters produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The new 2019 Ram 1500 offers an optional 48-volt mild-hybrid system that helps fuel economy and provides up to 130 pound-feet of torque.
Thanks to these engines, the 2019 Ram 1500 improves city mpg by 2 and highway mpg by 1 to 17 and 23 respectively. The 2019 Silverado improves fuel economy by 1 to 16 but loses highway mpg by 1 to 21. Ram will continue offering a diesel engine with similar 27 highway mpg and 20 city mpg to the current diesel truck.
Off-road, the Ram 1500 Rebel will get a one-inch suspension lift, locking rear differential, skid plates, off-road tires, hill-descent control, and upgraded shocks from Bilstein with optional air suspension, too. Chevy is releasing an off-road truck as well called the Trailboss with a two-inch lift and all of the same features as the Ram 1500 Rebel, but from Rancho.
The RamBox beats competitors again with lockable in-bed storage containers on the bed sides. Spacious interiors abound in both the 2019 Ram 1500 and 2019 Chevy Silverado, but we at Barry Sanders Supercenter note the massive center console in the Ram 1500, and new 12-inch Uconnect information and entertainment center.
All in all, the 2019 Ram 1500’s style, engine, interior, features, agility, and brand promise of Built to Serve beats the Chevy competition.

Created in 1991, Toys for Tots works throughout the year to collect toys and offers Program Services and Support Services.
Program and Support Services include the collection and distribution of the toys, support of local coordinators by providing collection boxes and financial aid for promotional purposes, as well as education about the history and future of Toys for Tots and poverty in the United States of America.
First Ladies have been proud supporters of the Marines Toys for Tots program including, Laura Bust, Michelle Obama, Melania Trump, Barbara Bush, and Nancy Reagan. Other celebrity supporters include Ellen DeGeneres, Dr. Oz, Billy Ray Cyrus, John Wayne, Ginger Rogers, Marilyn Monroe, and now Barry Sanders himself!

Having time off from school or work makes the holidays awesome, but make sure you use that time off in the best way; by having fun. Whether you’re traveling from Stillwater back to OKC or Tulsa, or staying in Stillwater, we have picked out the best events you should keep on your radar. (Plus, some of them are free.)
Oklahoma City
Devon Ice Rink at Myriad Botanical Garden
Who doesn’t like ice skating? This is OKC’s only open air ice rink, and the location is prime. In the middle of downtown, within walking distance of both Bricktown and Automobile Alley, you’ll get in some skating time and then you’ll have plenty of places to go to get food.
Snow Tubing Winter Fest
Is there a more fun winter activity than sledding? Well, if the sky isn’t getting it done in the precipitation department this December, you can go to the Bricktown Chickasaw Ballpark and get some tubing done. It costs for admission, but the snow slides they create are worth it.
Bricktown Events
Bricktown is known for having some of the best bars and food in OKC, but during the holidays it gets FESTIVE. Apart from the holiday decorations, you’ll see thousands of lights from street to street. During the holidays you can also take one of the water taxi rides along the canal for free.
Another Bricktown tradition is the Tree Lighting Festival. You can go the day after Thanksgiving to see the ‘official’ kick off of OKC’s holiday season. The Mayor will light the tree, and there will be food trucks and other festivities. Plus, you’re still right in the middle of Bricktown.
Automobile Alley
If Bricktown is too mainstream, try Automobile Alley. You will get all the great eats and fun bars, plus the entire street is covered in lights, from the top of the buildings to the bottom. It is quite the sight. It’s also within walking distance of most of Midtown’s best spots.
Tulsa
Winterfest
As a native Tulsan, this is my favorite holiday event. A huge open-air ice rink is placed right next to the BOK Center, and there are carriage rides, live entertainment and holiday decorations everywhere. It is one thing you have to do if you will be in or around Tulsa this holiday season.
Rhema
Rhema is a magical wonderland of Christmas lights. There may be no other way to accurately describe it. The annual event causes thousands to flock to the church’s location on the edge of Tulsa and Broken Arrow. Go when it’s cold. And if you want quality hot chocolate that isn’t homemade, there is a Starbucks on the corner next to Rhema. I suggest the Salted Carmel Hot Cocoa.
Utica Square
Shopping, holiday music, brilliant landscaping and Christmas lights. That’s what you’re going to get at Utica. Go when you’re looking for special gifts for very special people, and you don’t mind spending a few bucks.
Lights on the Hill
This uniquely Tulsa holiday event is one you don’t have to get out of your warm vehicle to enjoy. Drive through miles of Christmas lights and holiday displays in Chandler Park, a quick 15 minute drive from Downtown Tulsa.
Stillwater
Christmas Parade of Lights
Stillwater’s best annual tradition, the parade of Christmas cheer will be going through downtown on December 1.
Carriage Rides
During the Holiday season you can get free rides through downtown Stillwater. This could come in handy.

OKC Auto Show
The Jeep, Dodge, RAM Show
At the 2018 Oklahoma City International Auto Show, our favorite manufacturers really put on a show. Dodge had an excellent selection of cars, vans and SUVs including the 2018 Dodge Charger and the 2018 Dodge Caravan.
There are few manufacturers who can make a statement like Jeep. The auto show was another excellent event for the brand, with new editions of the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee on display.
Though there was much truck competition at the show, there was little doubt over which manufacturer was the most successful with its messaging. Banners with “Most Dependable Truck on the Road” were everywhere in the RAM portion of the event. And there were plenty of gorgeous trucks around to back up that claim, including the 1500 Laramie and Longhorn.

2018 Jeep Wrangler Wins Google Top Chart Car
The new 2018 Jeep Wrangler is equipped with new features and a redesign that makes it a vehicle with great off-road capabilities while also adding more for the on-road comfort. Features include Bluetooth capability, navigation, heated front seats, and a voice activation system. For performance and fuel economy, the new 2018 Wrangler is powered by a 3.6 L V6 engine and gets 17/23 mpg city/highway with the manual and 18/23 mpg with the automatic. The Jeep also comes in four trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon.
