New Tread. New Possibilities.
Tire Tips from Barry Sanders Supercenter

A car is nothing without tires. Whether you drive an electric car, gas or a hybrid, tires are a necessity, without them, you cannot get around.
At Barry Sanders Supercenter in Stillwater, Oklahoma, we know you need a solid set of tires to get around the hometown of America’s Brightest Orange. Wouldn’t it be great if orange tires were a trend? We may have found our new idea!
You don’t need to know NASCAR terminology to make sure your tires are safe. We’re here to give you the basic knowledge that will allow you to get the most out of your tires.
Wheel Alignment:
Tires wear the more you drive on them. You cannot fully avoid this issue. What you can do however is make sure that your tires are aligned. This allows for better tire life and ride experience. Aligned tires won’t make any noise, nor will your car favor one side or another.
Wheels out of alignment can be a nightmare, one moment you can be in the center lane, and before you know it, you’re drifting towards the side of the highway, or worse, into oncoming traffic. Another issue that might be noticed with misaligned tires is abnormal vibrations. Rattling and humming at high speeds might be indicators that your tires need to be aligned. The only vibrations you should want are positive vibrations, not abnormal.
Tire Rotation:
Longevity is what we want in all of our investments. How long can we make this last and still perform well? What can I do to get the best return on my investment? Our Barry Sanders Supercenter Service Technicians would answer that tires should be rotated every 7,500 miles. This allows them to live and perform better longer.
Tire Pressure:
Some people, like tires, can handle pressure. Others, however, cannot. Keeping your tires at the right pressure can improve fuel economy, traction, stop and start ability, and most importantly, ride quality. To check what the exact tire pressure is that is needed for your car, look for a label on in the inside of your door frame or come on down to Barry Sanders Supercenter and we’ll check for you.
Copping some new shoes:
We hope you now know what to look for when your car starts humming its own tune or decides to go its own way, as if your tires are taking advice from Fleetwood Mac. We’re all under pressure sometimes, even our tires, but now you know how to get your tires to perform well.
No matter how much time you spend keeping your tires in shape, eventually there will be a time to upgrade.
Buying tires isn’t as hard a process as some can make it seem. A great place to start is the internet. There you will find many reputable tire companies and will be able to find the perfect fit for you and your car. This is the fun part! You can find the perfect fit for your metal Cinderella and off you two will go riding into the sunset. Sounds dreamy, doesn’t it?
Maybe tire fitting fairy-tales aren’t your thing. Instead, you can come see us at Barry Sanders Supercenter in Stillwater, Oklahoma and we can align, rotate, or replace your tires for you!
Or maybe you want a new car instead. We got you covered on that, too! Come to Barry Sanders Supercenter and get into a new 2019 Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram or Hyundai. Whatever you want, you better believe we can find it!
We are a short drive from Guthrie, Perry, Perkins, Langston and all other surrounding areas. Come in and let us help fix your tires or get a new car.
Accident Witnesses
What to Do When You Witness an Accident

Hopefully you’ll never have to witness a car crash, but if you do, there are plenty of things you can do to help the people involved. Keep these directions in mind in case you witness and accident and you could save a life.
Of course, you shouldn’t stop and help at every accident, but if you see a major accident that looks like it would involve serious injury, it’s a good idea to pull over so you can assess the situation. But you’re not Superman, so keep yourself safe; go slow, turn on your hazards, and leave plenty of room for the emergency vehicles.
Check on the drivers in the cars to see what their condition is and how badly they’re hurt. Then it’s time to call 911 and give them a clear description of what’s happening. Then it’s mostly a waiting game. You don’t want to move the victims unless the car is about to explode. If you’re a qualified medical professional, though, do what you can to help the injured.
Give your police report when the time comes, and then go home and relax. You’ve had a long day.

How to Make More on Your Trade
Everyone wants to get the best deal on a car, but not everyone knows the tricks that get you the best deal. Barry Sanders Supercenter does.
Trading in you car is the best way to utilize your current equity to your new purchase. It’s the smart play, if you don’t want to keep the car, of course.
When considering trading in your used car to save money on a new car, you want to get the most money possible. Follow these steps to do just that:

1. Know your used car’s value.
One of the best ways to understand the value of your car is to research similar vehicles. See what dealers have them listed for, what Kelley Blue Book says they should be valued at, and how much other individuals are trying to sell them for. You will quickly begin to see the dollar spectrum your car can fall into. Then determine the shape of your car to place it at the high end of the spectrum or the lower end. Always be realistic. If you don’t, you are setting yourself up for failure.
2. Look at the car from the dealer’s perspective.
The first question you should ask is what will they have to fix. If the vehicle only needs a light cleaning and then it is good to be put on the lot, you have an absolute gem. Most people are not that lucky. The dealership will do a walk around of the car, they will drive the vehicle and then they add up the repairs, including alignment, tires, transmission, dents, window chips, etc. The dealer will also look at how heavily used the car is by reading mileage. That is a key factor in what people are willing to pay for a used vehicle.
3. Make it shine.
Give your car a THOROUGH cleaning before taking it in. From the tires to the sunroof, make sure anything you can make sparkle, sparkles.
4. Show proof.
If you have receipts, records or anything else to prove you have taken care of the car, bring them and use them as negotiation tools. The dealer can’t question the integrity of you engine if you have had the car for 2 years and you have had 5 oil changes. You should always have back up.
5. See if the time is right.
Are you selling a convertible? Don’t sell it in the winter. Are you trying to get a lot of money for a mini van? Try waiting until school starts. Seasons are indicators to what people will want, and dealerships will pay more for what people will want immediately.
6. Don’t surrender your keys until you are happy with the deal.
Use your walk away power. You have it, the dealership does not. You can always drive that car for a few months longer.
We hope these tips allow you to get a deal you are happy with when you trade in your next used car. Remember, Barry Sanders Supercenter is a dealership that is always on the look out to buy trade ins. If you have one that you’d like us to appraise (after you’ve done all your research and the other trade-in tips, of course,) give us a call or swing by our lot in Stillwater, Oklahoma, home of the Cowboys.
We look forward to meeting ya!
2018 SMAC Week Drive
Stillwater Makes A Change With the Help of Barry Sanders Supercenter

Each year, Barry Sanders Supercenter gets to help Stillwater High School raise money for a local nonprofit during SMAC week. SMAC stands for Stillwater Makes a Change, and that is not an overstatement. Stillwater High School is known for raising over $100,000 for nonprofits during the week. Our dealership helped with this effort by hosting a test drive event where we donated $20 per test drive to the cause.
This year we were given the opportunity in April to help this school. With the added initiative of our communities we raised substantial funds for this non-profit.
We wish to personally thank all attendees that visited us to test drive a vehicle, see Mangent, or Snack with SMAC. We look forward to next year’s SMAC week with Stillwater High School and its partners.

Perkins School Test Drive Event
Our Partnership with Perkins-Tryon Schools

Barry Sanders Supercenter values education and knows that the schools and students in our Oklahoma communities need all the support we can offer. That’s why when a Perkins-Tryon senior class parent reached out to partner with us, we were happy to oblige.
Our partnership turned into an effort to raise money for the senior class of Perkins-Tryon through a test drive fundraiser. We at Barry Sanders Supercenter were happy to help our Stillwater neighbors by donating $20 for every test drive taken in one of our vehicles on October 7, 2017.
After a long day of test drives at the Perkins-Tryon high school, we are happy to say we helped raise $1,260 for the kids in the graduating class.

32nd Annual Pawnee Bill Memorial Rodeo
In August 2017, Barry Sanders Supercenter was honored to sponsor the 32nd Annual Pawnee Bill Memorial Rodeo in Stillwater’s neighbor town of Pawnee, Oklahoma

The rodeo was a smashing success, and that’s not just because we had some of our finest RAM trucks there, either.
The three-day event was packed full of excitement because of the excellent talent there to compete. From bucking broncos and striking rodeo Royalty, to the rambunctious bulls the riders had to hold on to for 8 seconds, there was always something to be enamored by at the Pawnee Bill Memorial Rodeo… But that’s a fact we were counting on before we left Stillwater.
In addition to the great athletes and livestock, our group from Stillwater got to witness great American patriotism in the flesh and celebrate it. The rodeo took the time to honor two military veterans with special ties to the town of Pawnee and the rodeo itself. One of those gentlemen was 100 years young. It was a special part of the event; one that made us even more proud to play a part in putting it on.
Though we had to take a bit of a road trip to get there, the Pawnee Bill Memorial Rodeo was well worth it, and we look forward to making the trip again next year.
